In a bizarre crossover event that defies usual forecasts, the game developer has revealed an virtual crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, including free extra story content for Shadows players.
Strange Questline Revealed
According to the formal statement, "A strange meeting draws heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a new adventure, where hints of banned rituals and monstrous transformations resonate through the shadows." The narrative introduces a "oddly dressed woman named Ada" who tasks the pair with venturing into the Crystalline Cavern—a important location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her companion from a secret cult.
The questline focuses on "peculiar trials and a monstrous enemy" and is open to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Familiar Locations and Changes
The teaser highlights the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was earlier where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The teaser ends with a dramatic sequence showing a character, presumably the hostage, transforming into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.
Unique Prizes and Additional Material
Players who accomplish the mission will obtain an exclusive katana together with numerous artifacts hidden throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also features premium Attack on Titan item packs, offering:
